James Madison - 'All Man Having Power Ought to Be Distrusted' Graphic Tee

James Madison was popularly acclaimed as the "Father of the Constitution" for his pivotal role in drafting and promoting the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. Madison took the lead in advocating for several constitutional amendments to the Bill of Rights. After studying more than two hundred amendments that had been proposed at the state ratifying conventions, Madison introduced the Bill of Rights on June 8, 1789. His amendments contained numerous restrictions on the federal government and would protect, among other things, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the right to peaceful assembly.

On July 11, 1787, during the debates over a proposed constitution, Madison stated, "The truth was that all men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree."  History has proven James Madison right.  Honor the man with this distinctive tee.
