Uncle Sam "Throw the Bums Out" Humorous Graphic Tee

The graphic was inspired by a WWII poster of Uncle Sam with the admonishment, "No Room for Rumors." While important in a wartime setting, the original message has been updated to one more appropriate for today.

Thus, we wish to get rid of those worthless members, and replace them with new ones (whom we hope will do better).

The phrase is popularly believed to have originated during the 1941 World Series when a man entered a Brooklyn bar and toasted to "May the best team win" while the New York Yankees were playing against the Brooklyn Dodgers. The locals responded with "T’row de bum out!" This anecdote highlights the phrase's use as a call to eject someone seen as undesirable or disruptive.

In a political context, "Throw the Bums out" is often used to express a desire to remove ineffective or corrupt politicians from office.  In 2024, San Francisco saw a political shift where voters rejected long-standing political figures, regardless of their ideological leanings. This trend was described as a manifestation of the "Throw the Bums Out" sentiment, reflecting a broader dissatisfaction with the political establishment.
